A women in her local paper took out a one inch ad listing the number of Americans killed in the Iraq War to date. I believe it was a effective anti-war advertising campaign!

War is still going, right? Guess it wasn't that effective.

Hah. Nice comment preview. A little slow though.

      Success

Wasted time... especially in a war with fewer casualties than most others.

        box,

I don't think the intention of the advertisements was to convince the President to end the war, but rather, get more Americans to start questioning it!

sure, "grass roots" efforts like this are interesting, but nontheless probably not very successful. btw, does anyone know how to subscribe (in newsvine) to a comments section that you're actively taking part in?

Given how few soldiers have been lost in the war, such a plan just might backfire. We used to lose more boys than that in just one battle. Not that every single loss isn't heartfelt, but if anything it shows just how WELL the war is going. I guess if you're a glass half empty kind of person though...
